1. Who is responsible for your information
Fit Goblin is operated by Fatih Acan ("we", "us", or "our"). For privacy questions or requests, contact mehmetfatihacan0@gmail.com.
2. Information we process
We process information that you provide, that is created when you use Fit Goblin, or that our service providers return to us.
- Account information: email address, display name, account identifier, and account/authentication status. Supabase Auth handles sign-in credentials; Fit Goblin does not receive or store your password in readable form.
- Profile and nutrition information: height, weight, measurement units, calorie and macronutrient goals, and related preferences.
- Meal log information: meal names and notes, meal dates and times, calorie and macronutrient values, and your saved meal history.
- Meal photos: photos you choose or take to log a meal. The app resizes and compresses a photo on your device and removes its embedded metadata before upload. Photos are stored in private, account-scoped storage and are not publicly browsable.
- Consent and age confirmation: whether you confirmed that you are at least 18 and agreed to health-data processing, plus the time those confirmations were recorded.
- Subscription information: subscription product, purchase/restore events, entitlement status, and relevant transaction or expiration information. RevenueCat and Apple provide or process information needed to validate purchases and access to Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card or bank details.
- Service and security information: our hosting and subscription providers may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, request timestamps, app/device platform details, and service logs, under their own privacy and retention practices.
If you use the optional calorie suggestion tool, the age, sex selection, and activity level you enter for that calculation are processed locally on your device and are not sent to our server or saved to your account by that feature.
3. How we use information
- Create and secure your account, authenticate you, and provide password-reset and account messages.
- Save and show your profile, nutrition goals, meal logs, photos, calendar history, and summaries.
- Process meal photos and notes to produce an estimate. In the current version, the server returns deterministic sample values; it does not send your photo or note to an external AI provider.
- Verify subscriptions, restore purchases, manage Pro access, prevent purchase fraud, and handle account deletion.
- Maintain service security, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We do not use your meal logs, photos, or profile information for advertising, cross-app tracking, or sale to data brokers. We do not operate an advertising network or third-party analytics SDK in the current app.
4. Health and nutrition information
Your height, weight, nutrition goals, and meal logs can reveal information about health or wellbeing. We ask for your separate consent before storing this information. You can withdraw consent for future processing by contacting us or deleting your account; some app features that rely on this information may then stop working. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful and does not affect processing that must continue under applicable law.
Fit Goblin is a food logging and general wellness tool. It does not diagnose, prevent, monitor, or treat a disease, and its estimates are approximate. Do not use the app as a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.
5. Legal grounds
Depending on where you live and the processing involved, we rely on the grounds available under applicable law. These may include performing the service you request (account, logging, and subscriptions), your consent (including consent for health-related information where required), our legitimate interests in securing and maintaining the service, and compliance with legal obligations. Where a law requires consent, you may withdraw it for future processing.
6. Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers to operate Fit Goblin. They process information for us under their own service terms and privacy commitments:
- Supabase provides authentication, database, private photo storage, and server functions. The Fit Goblin production project’s primary region is Central EU (Frankfurt). Supabase Privacy Policy · Supabase regions.
- RevenueCat processes subscription status and purchase history, linked to the Fit Goblin account identifier, to validate and manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Apple processes App Store purchases and subscription billing under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We do not receive full payment card details. Apple Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information if necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the service, or establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. International processing
The primary Supabase project data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. Our service providers may process limited information in other countries to provide, secure, or support their services. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, we will use a legally recognized mechanism. You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your request.
8. How long we keep information
We keep account and app information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account from the in-app Settings screen. When account deletion completes, our app process removes the account and associated profile, meal records, photos, sessions, and RevenueCat customer record. Some limited records may remain in provider backups or security logs for the period those providers retain them, or where retention is required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or protect the service.
Deleting your Fit Goblin account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple Account subscription settings. A meal photo uploaded for an estimate but never saved to a meal is placed in a cleanup queue after a 24-hour grace period; final removal is performed by the background cleanup process.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You can access or update certain profile and meal information in the app, and request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal information by contacting mehmetfatihacan0@gmail.com. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have the right to object to certain processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
For Turkish residents, requests may also be submitted under applicable Turkish personal data protection law, including Law No. 6698 (KVKK), using the contact above. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
10. Security
We use access controls and account-scoped storage to protect app data. Photos are stored in private storage and accessed through authenticated, time-limited links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Adults only
Fit Goblin is intended for people aged 18 or older. Registration requires an 18+ confirmation. We do not knowingly provide accounts to people under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete the account where appropriate.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, its providers, or applicable requirements change. We will post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide any notice or choice required by law.
